For patients aged 65 and older receiving isoflurane or sevoflurane, what was the difference in minimum alveolar concentrations (MAC) used in those with established cannabis use vs. those without?
Cannabis users had a higher average MAC than nonusers (mean ± SD, 0.58±0.23 vs. 0.54±0.22), for a difference of 0.04; 95% confidence limits, 0.01 to 0.06; P = 0.020. However, the clinical significance is debatable.
